This notice explains how we process personal data when you use WN8.info and our subdomains (e.g., wows.wn8.info, wot.wn8.info).

2) What data we process

  • Technical access data: IP address, timestamp, URLs, referrer, user-agent, error codes (server logs).
  • Usage/analytics data: page views, events, device/approx. location (city/region), consent status (if analytics enabled).
  • Contact form data: email address, subject/title, message body; stored in our database for support.
  • Cookies/IDs: consent state and (if accepted) analytics/ads identifiers.
  • Game statistics: public player/clan identifiers and stats provided by the respective game APIs; these are not “user accounts” on our site.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR) and do not perform automated decisions producing legal effects.

3) Sources

  • Data you provide (contact form).
  • Data automatically generated by your browser/device when accessing our pages (logs, cookies).
  • Public game APIs (e.g., Wargaming) according to their terms; only public stats are ingested.

4) Purposes & Legal Bases (Art. 6 GDPR)

  • Provide and secure the service (hosting, performance, fraud/abuse prevention, debugging). Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Contact & support (handling inquiries submitted via the form). Legal basis: contractual/steps prior to contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and/or legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Analytics (measure reach, improve UX) — only if you consent. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Advertising (if enabled; e.g., AdSense) — only if you consent. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Publishing leaderboards/blog screenshots (from public stats/pages). Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

5) Cookies & Consent

We use a consent mechanism (e.g., Google Consent Mode v2) to honor your choices. You can revisit and change your consent at any time via your browser settings or our consent banner.

  • Essential: required for security and basic features (cannot be disabled).
  • Analytics: only set if you consent (e.g., [Google Analytics 4]).
  • Advertising: only set if you consent (e.g., [Google AdSense]).

6) Analytics & Advertising (optional)

Analytics: If enabled, we use [Google Analytics 4] provided by Google Ireland Ltd. Data may be transferred to the USA under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). IP masking is used and data retention is limited. See Google’s privacy notice: policies.google.com/privacy.

7) Server logs

Our hosting environment automatically records access logs (see section 2) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are typically retained for [7–30 days] unless an incident requires longer retention.

8) Contact form storage

Messages sent via the contact form (email, title, message) are stored in our database for processing and audit. Retention: [6–24 months] or as required by statutory retention duties. Access is restricted.

9) Recipients & Processors

We share data with service providers only as necessary and under data processing terms:
